Isolde is a Library teacher who lives in China and who loves jewel tones! As i was reading through her questionnaire i started to get all these amazing ideas coming through. I saw the jewel tones of emerald green, teal and hot pinks. I loved her inspiration photos she sent me and even took inspiration from the outfits she was wearing. I came up with a jewel inspired colour pallet where all colours compliment one another and work well together. I also added in a soft cream, which was needed to soften the colours when they are together and to add a light background.
I found the perfect font pair for her logo, a font that is formal and classy but also a little playful which I believe is nice when the business is around children. As soon as i read her business name “Ms Rose’s Library’ I saw a gorgeous book (always open - just like she is with sharing her knowledge to young children), then I see roses. Roses are not only her Chinese symbol and taken from her name, but they also show growth. I love the three meanings within what the ‘Rose flower’ represents. When I see this rose flower with her name I see her teaching the kids how to read and watching them grow.
I came up with the idea of an open book with the roses growing from the pages and Isolde absolutely loved it!
